Who is your main team (ECHL or AHL) that you support?

Since this was brought up the the other day, I thought I would open this up so we can get sort of a roll call as to who our members are.

This shoulda included the Federal League. Anyways, as far as the ECHL , my favorite is the Charlotte Checkers. I am a new fan starting last season. I am from DC and a long time Washington Caps fan.

Yes, I know, but I can have a maximum of 15 choices. So, I had to use most of the choices for those who are in the majority here. Those fans of the Federal League will have to chose other, and post their team. :victory:

Yeah, but since you live in Charlotte now, your main team now is really the Checkers. At least on this board, that's who you post about. ;)

In the ECHL it is the Grrrowl,AHL the Chicago Wolves, and NHL the Atlanta Thrashers and Edmonton Oilers. Thank you for letting come on the board I enjoy reading it and I like to read the smack between the Grrrowl and the Checkers.

Ok - - since everyone has a "team a league" - - I now live in greater Charlotte so the CHECKERS are "my" team. In the World Hockey Association it was the New England Whalers. In the old EHL it was the New Haven Blades, and in the AHL I had a spell of being a New Haven Nighthawk fan, and a spell being a Springfield Indian fan.

In the NHL my #1 is the New York Islanders and for a spell were 1b and my #1a was the Hartford Whalers. #2 I liked the Minnesota North Stars. I also have a soft spot for all things Tampa Bay and San Diego.

My team is obviously the CHECKERS since I live here!!! Here are my other teams:

Former ECHL Team:
Columbus Chill

NHL Teams:
1) Columbus Blue Jackets (even though they suck and are affiliated with Dandy Don's team)
2) Carolina Hurricanes.

Teams I despise:
1) Florida Everblades
2) Columbia Inferno
3) Greenville Grrrowl
4) Detroit Red Wings

Iowa and Hamilton in the AHL
Edmonton, Boston, MN and Atlanta in the NHL
U of MN in NCAA.
And I keep tabs on a few Junior teams as well

My fav ECHL team is Charlotte Checkers and being from Texas, the Texas Wildcatters. Ok, ok, any team with Ryan Fultz. My fav AHL, The Houston Aeros and Manitoba Moose. Fav NHL is Calgary and Toronto.

My favorite ECHL team would have to be the Checkers, since I live here in Charlotte now. :thumb: I grew up in Canada, but only really paid attention to the NHL teams when I was there. I didn't really know much about teams below the NHL.

My favorite NHL teams would be the Edmonton Oilers (they always have a place close to my heart.), Carolina Hurricanes and the Detroit Red Wings. (Gotta love the Dominator!) Since my family originates from Finland, I always have to root for the Finnish players as well. :)

I really enjoy reading this board, and have enjoyed going to the Checkers games this season. I have to say, I have more fun at the Checkers games than I do at NHL games! Go Checkers!! :towel:

Its all I know, Checkers fan since well, we will talk about that another time. Put it this way I have been a Checker fan so long that I have seen some of the old Checkers kids play. uuuuummmmm
