Last week I was passed in traffic by a black Honda(?) that caught my eye with some hockey references on it and I was just wondering if this car belonged to one of you.

Between the left tail light and the license plate there was a Rangers logo sticker, BUT, this plate really caught my eye. It was a personalized NC plate that read HIPCZECH.

I thought it was a pretty good plate. You know, with the Rangers making such a big deal on how they're so much better with Jagr and the Czech Rep. guys on the team this year and all.

Was the car being driven by a "hip" chick, that appreciates a good hard "hip check" by a "hip" guy from the Czech Republic? (maybe I had too much time on my hands that day)

An addition to the list. Yesterday, (wed) somewhere near I-85 & I-77 I saw a black Mercury Cougar with a personalized NC plate that either read "NJDEVFAN" or "NJDVLFAN". Can't remember, bouncin' around in a truck and all. That's 2 hockey plates in what(?), 2 weeks.

Any of you have a hockey or Checkers personalized plate ?

ive got a Rangers plate, there was a checkers plate on there but it was REALLY REALLY old and stuff, so i changed it. looks good around the "give hunting a fair shot" frame.

An update! Seen today in the area of I-85 & Sugar Creek Rd, a tan/beige colored Honda Element with a specialized NC plate reading "PNLTY BOX".

Thought that was pretty clever based on what an Element looks like.

I never could get beside of the car to see if it was someone I might recognize from the arena.

I have a Canes plate with "N'06" on it to celebrate the 2006 Cup win. :cup: Of course, I ordered it when the Canes went up 3 games to 1 and just about shot myself in the foot when it went to 7 games. :unsure:

My car has a Carolina Hurricanes license plate with 0007CH on it and I got it signed by Niclas Wallin after the 2002 playoffs. My father's has 0006CH on it. They were the 6th and 7th plates made.

Seen today on I-85 going south thru Gastonia, a black Acura w/a NC "hurricanes" plate that didn't have the assigned #'s from the state, but instead had paid extra for...... "1NHL".

I've seen a van in South Charlotte, Dodge Caravan I believe, numerous times that has a plate that pays homage to Wayne Gretzky, reads something like "Gretzky1".

Also seen a "Glovesav", that was in Raleigh though, and I bring it up because I remember ESPN/ABC showed it during the '02 playoffs, and sure enough a couple years later I was behind that vehicle at a red light. I think it was in homage to Arturs Irbe.

It was a convertable Mustang, very dark, maybe black, with a NC plate that was one of the Hurricanes specialty plates, and for their 4 letters, they purchased......

Yep. And I think he's the only one who uses the phrase on a regular basis. I've never heard any of the VS/NBC guys say it.

I saw this tag more than a week ago, and almost forgot to put it up here.

It was a gray/silver family van. Maybe a Honda.

They paid extra to NC to have these 8..........STYXNPUX....or...... STYX&PUX.......

I hope I got this correct, in case this is anyone on the board. I am sure that the message was Sticks and Pucks. I just may have remembered the exact way it was on the plate wrong.
