CHECKERS VETERANS DAY SPECIAL
CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte Checkers announced that the team will honor Veterans Day at their game Saturday against the Augusta Lynx by wearing a special patriotic jerseys as well as having veterans and active military involved in all facets of the game.
The Checkers are also offering a $5 Attack Zone ticket to all veterans, active military and their families and friends. The Checkers have also donated tickets to Urban Ministries, the Uptown Men’s Shelter and the VANC Salisbury.
Veterans and active military will provide several facets of the game operations including the color guard, singing of the National Anthem and the ceremonial puck drop. The Checkers will also feature Veterans Spotlights on the video board during the game.
Beef O’Brady’s will offer a special tailgate package to all fans for $5. The tailgate begins at 4:30 pm and is located in the Season Ticket Holder parking lot on the corner of Sixth Street and Brevard Street.
In addition to the Checkers regular pregame festivities, Blue Baboons Fun Time Events will provide a special military-themed inflatable and the North Carolina Army National Guard will have special activities on the Trade Street Plaza.
The Charlotte Checkers travel to Johnstown Friday night. Be sure to catch the action live on B2 Networks or on Teamline. The Checkers return home Saturday to host the Augusta Lynx in a South Division matchup at 7:30 pm.
