CHECKMATE AUDITIONS THIS SUNDAY
Think you’ve got what it takes to be one of the ECHL’s finest?
The Charlotte Checkers CheckMates auditions are coming up on Sunday, August 12th and if you haven’t already decided to audition, we are giving you the Top 10 reasons that you should tryout for the team.
10. The CheckMates are the best dance team in the ECHL.
9. Dancing on ice isn’t as hard as it looks….really.
8. The Checkers mascot Chubby is adorably cute!
7. Although being able to skate is optional, you do get extra credit points if you can.
6. Because every girl should be an expert at dodging Chuck-a-Pucks.
5. Thrill your friends with Pro Cheerleader knowledge daily!
4. The Checkers fans are hardcore, loyal, and dedicated to the Checkers. It’s like having another 10,000 teammates.
3. It’s the Checkers 15th Anniversary season…why wait until next year to audition? Be part of exciting professional hockey NOW!!!
2. Three words = Pro Cheerleader Boots
1. It’s the only sport where it is totally acceptable for you, as a cheerleader, to scream and chant “MAMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT” while one of the Checkers players is knocking some guys teeth out.
CheckMates auditions will be held at the Childress Klein YMCA in uptown Charlotte. Audition registration starts at 12:00 pm Sunday, August 12th.
