View Full Version : All Star game on NHL Network Canada?

I just went through the preview guide on tv and I couldnt find the all star game on nhl network but it says on echl.com they are showing it in Canada? Why would they put it on that one and not the one in USA? Or am I reading something wrong?

It was on the NHL Network last year but the tv guide said nhl hockey and it was the echl all star game.

Center Ice is going to have the game on. Channel 980 on Time Warner

Princeton, NJ - The ECHL announced that in addition to the NHL (http://www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3766470#)Network in Canada and NHL Center Ice, the ECHL All-Star Game by Guardian Wear will be broadcast live by Cox Sports Television in Connecticut and Rhode Island, the Buckeye Cable Sports Network in Ohio and GCI Cable in Alaska.
It was also announced that Altitude Sports & Entertainment, the official television network of the Colorado Avalanche, will televise the game at 7 p.m. on Jan. 23 while Catch 47 will televise the game at 1 p.m. on Jan. 22 and again at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 24. Metro Sports in Kansas City will televise the game at noon on Jan. 22 and New England Sports Network will air it at 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 23.
The television broadcast crew is Jack Michaels of the Alaska Aces, veteran NHL analyst Neil Smith and Adrian Denny of the Utah Grizzlies. Michaels will be the play-by-play announcer with Smith doing color commentary for the eighth consecutive year and Denny working ice level where he will interview players, coaches and representatives from the ECHL and the National Hockey League.

So I am guessing Harford didnt release him and we didnt get word in time to send someone else. That just blows!!

Hartford did release him. That or a doppleganger is playing in his stead...
