It has been reported to me that users of the AOL and Opera browsers have trouble reading certain text. Usually, the text with the trouble is in "panels" which are a light blue. The text is appearing as white to these users. I can assure you that this text is set to black. I have even tried to set it as a different black (#000030 vs. #000000). I do not understand why this is happening. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, please post them here.
In the mean time, I can offer you 2 suggestions:
1) use a different browser
2) get off of AOL. AOL sucks!
A little FYI, I recently got on a new Macintosh at work that's on OSX, which has a browser called Safari. The displays and everything look fine with that program.

Yes, I have Safari on all of my Macs. It's a GREAT browser. I knew that was working, but it's good to know it's also working at your location. :thumb:

I have now tested this site with Netscape 7.0 and so far, all looks well. It looks like the issues are restricted to the AOL and Opera browsers.

I have Netscape at home, some of mine show up as white text on a light blue backround and others show as black text on light blue background.

Sounds like it's working correctly for you, as well.

Not really. While some panels show up as black text on blue backround most show up as white text on light blue backround and can't be read very well.

Then it sounds like you are using an early version of Netscape. Most likely, that is the same version that AOL is using.

I still don't have any answer for this. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am using AOL 9.0 and it displays perfectly. It could very well be that some folks are using older versions of AOL that aren't supporting this format.

Thanks for letting me know. I think that's the problem. We've got a LOT of AOL users now and I've not heard of any other problems. Welcome to the board!
