Hello. I am a current mini-plan STH for the Canes and a new full STH for the Checkers for next year. I've been attending the last few games and along with the strong Checkers performance have come some free giveaways like burritos, etc. My questions are 1) Is there a list of the promotions? 2)How do I cash in on these free items and subsequent restrictions. (Seems like I overheard someone say you had to get your burrito within 24 hours.) Do they give the coupons away as you leave? Do you use your ticket stub? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

For the burritos you use your ticket at any area Moe's within 24 hours. The rest, for the most part, are coupons that they give out as you leave. Those don't have the 24 hour restriction. I don't know about a list anywhere, maybe on the Checkers website. The two ongoing promotions that come to mind are the 99 cent smoothies if there are more than a certain number of icing infractions ( I don't remember how many.) The other is if we hold the other team scoreless in the third period, you get a certificate for a free Coke Zero. Once in a while, like yesterday, they have people giving out free samples of Coke Zero or other drinks. As far as I know, they don't advertise when that is going to happen.

If you go the Checkers site and click on "Promotions" under "schedule" most (but not all) of the one-offs are listed (such as the Coke Zero and Dilworth Coffee sampling) are listed. http://gocheckers.com/schedule/promotions/
I just had the Moe's burrito and it was very good. That's really the only one that has to be redeemed quickly. The coffee coupons are good until the end of March. The 99 cent smoothies are good for a while and may not even expire. If they give out coupons for Coke Zero they have to be taken to Circle K and usually expire after the end of the season.

Thanks. I did see that schedule, but was really looking for those promotions that depend on performance (i.e. x# of goals scored, 3rd period shutout, # of icings, etc.)

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Oh, also make sure to exit on the 5th street side of the arena - most of the time you get free Monster Energy Drinks.
Other things of note - 2 for 1 pizzas at Brixx before the games. $1.95 bar menu at LaVecchia's 2 hours prior. Both places will validate parking if you park at 7th street station.

It's 8 icings for a smoothie.

Smoothie King rocks. Ballantyne Village has Smoothie King and Moe's practically right next to each other.

Agreed. At Northcross Shopping Center in Hooterville (exit 25) they ARE right next door to each other.
